I'm generally an optimist, but our work can be daunting in the face of the many challenges we meet. Shane always resets my focus and reminds me that greater obstacles have been overcome in conservation. I especially enjoyed his specific challenge to our organization to think bigger and broader about our target audience and how to approach winning over the masses for conservation.
